LIVE digital slickline services enable a wider range of activities to be performed with control and certainty, anywhere with slickline access, by delivering the following:
- Depth correlation—Be certain that operations are immediately on depth every time. With continuous depth correlation, the exact position of the downhole tool is known at all times.
- Control of actions—The program can be adapted in real time, and commands can be issued to downhole tools on demand. Two-way digital communication provides dynamic control of operations.
- Confirmation—Remove risk and additional runs from operations. With surface readout (SRO), downhole actions and the success of the job can be confirmed before pulling out of hole.
A digital slickline has an integral coating for digital two-way communication and is deployed using a standard slickline unit and pressure control equipment. Sensors in the downhole digital cartridge measure cable tension, detect shock and well deviation, and monitor internal temperature. Data transmission is not affected by well completions, conditions, or fluids.
LIVE services use standard slickline units, rig-up, and pressure control to enable you to meet your production maintenance, completion, and intervention program objectives and targets on budget. The following services are available:
Enhance the quality and safety of mechanical operations with accurate depth measurement and monitoring of downhole head tension, shock, deviation, and tool status in real time.
Perform maintenance on standard and monobore completions, including those with damaged nipples, using a unique GeoLock “kinematic” nonrubber seal to overcome the effects of gas, high temperature, and pressure. Secure wells containing a damaged or nonexistent control line with the GEM-Valve safety valve.
Set downhole components, including plugs and cement retainers, on depth with precision, using the D-Set digital electrohydraulic setting tool—without explosives.
Accurately perforate, punch tubing, and cut for pipe recovery—on depth and efficiently. Maximize safety with multiple features designed into the system.
Run production logs with SRO for a complete range of combinable sensors: gamma ray, casing collar locator (CCL), strain gauge, inline spinner, fluid density, quartz pressure, temperature, capacitance water holdup, and flowmeter. Record certain logs simultaneously with a standard slickline operation.
