Merak Technology Update – June 2010

Schlumberger is constantly assessing and adopting new ideas to make technological advances toward providing best-in-class solutions. The Merak family of software products related to planning, risk, and reserves has been developed to meet the needs of the industry, and software updates are released to address new requirements.

Merak Suite: The Merak 2009.1 Suite is the latest major commercial version, which was released on November 17, 2008. In 2009, the version 2009.1 release was followed by some updates. The next major planned release Merak 2010.1 is under development.

Merak Enterprise Planning: On November 5, 2009, Merak Enterprise Planning (MEP) 2009.1 was commercially released. This is the first version of the product.
