The focus of Merak 2009.1 is the integration of economics and reserves. This has been achieved through significant enhancements to VOLTS and its integration with Peep and supports existing and proposed SPE and SEC standards. In addition, there have been a number of defect fixes and a focus on software quality.
What's new in Merak 2009.1 product by product:
Merak VOLTS 2009.1 introduces Merak VOLTS Integrated Economics to calculate reserves by linking categories in Merak VOLTS reservoir documents to Merak Peep cases and consolidations. You can
- calculate both economic volumes and values of projects by linking reserve categories to Merak Peep documents
- establish economic reserves consistent calculations by configuring Price file settings in Merak VOLTS and calculation parameters in the Merak Administration Console (MAC)
- launch linked cases in Merak Peep to review or edit directly from the Merak VOLTS hierarchy
- changes to economic volumes and values resulting from recalculation of Merak Peep documents can be tracked with change records
- calculate only outdated results with Merak VOLTS to increase the efficiency of calculations
- generate reportable results with Merak VOLTS using different prices and Merak Peep scenarios for multiple outcomes
- store all reserves and economic data safely in a single, secure database.
Merak Peep 2009.1 is a maintenance release that emphasizes quality.
All Merak Capital Planning 2007.2 enhancements are included in the 2009.1 release.

Merak 2009.1 supports Windows XP (SP2) and Windows Vista 32-bit.
