3D Vue

Visualize multiple wells in a 3D environment

With the Techlog wellbore software platform, it is possible to use well path trajectories to locate wellbores within their spatial positions, as well as create a 3D model of the reservoir or geological structure under study. Using the 3D Vue application, it’s possible to

  • view several wells from unlimited angles
  • display TVDSS, X, and Y coordinates
  • view zones displayed on each individual wellbore
  • display continuous parameters as modulations of well cylinders
  • use automatic traveling along the wellbore.

Cross sections

Wells can be linked together in regular or random line cross sections to explore spatial relationships in the data.

Maps and surfaces

Using the 3D Vue module, it is possible to propagate across the model by 2D kriging between wells using any Techlog parameter (e.g., formation results data, zone average log data, core data, parameters extracted from images, and facies). Surfaces can also be posted in the 3D cube (such as layers, parameter values, seismic and geological horizons, and fluid contacts).

3D borehole visualization

Users can display wells using the Wellbore Imaging module. Dips can be displayed and a direct interactive link between the depth plot and the 3D Vue module is also provided.
