Geophy
Comprehensive solution for combining petrophysical & geophysical data
Workflow
The Geophy module uses the standard Techlog application workflow interface (AWI). The insertion of Python scripts within Geophy workflows is also possible, greatly extending the module’s flexibility. Furthermore, automatic batch reports can be created, allowing parameter tables and results plots to be outputted as required.
Specialized tools
Time-depth functions can be created using one of several techniques based on checkshot and sonic log data. Reflection coefficients (RFC) and impedance curves can also be computed and then convolved with the chosen seismic wavelet. Filters can be applied in frequency domain to the seismic wavelet; their impact on calculated synthetic seismograms can be interactively observed. Gassmann fluid substitution can also be applied to prepare log data for comparison to seismic data.
Synthetic seismogram generation
- Drag-and-drop time-based log data can be sampled at the desired frequency into the control window.
- The RFC, impedance, and synthetic trace can be created in a single click.
- The frequency of domain band filters can be controlled using a graphical wheel control, and the results immediately viewed.
- Filters including Chebyshev, Bessel, Sync, user-defined wavelet, and Butterworth are available.
Gassmann fluid substitution
- Log data can be dragged-and-droppred into the control window.
- Settings can be edited either manually or via the graphical wheel controls.
- Input parameters can be applied by constant or curve (controllable over zones or intervals).
- Preformatted output layouts can be viewed, giving clear results.
