PetroMod software provides a complete and fully integrated range of technically advanced tools for 1D, 2D, and 3D petroleum systems modeling.
PetroMod 1D
Fully integrated into the PetroMod software suite, PetroMod 1D enables single-point data (wells and pseudo-wells) to be constructed from scratch or extracted directly from PetroMod 2D and 3D models.

PetroMod 2D
PetroMod 2D software uses the same multidimensional migration modeling simulator as PetroMod 3D software. It is ideal for analyzing areas with sparse data and for rapid analyses, for example if the data is only sufficient to construct a 2D geologic section.
The 2D PetroBuilder module, in combination with full 2D/3D temperature and pressure simulation modules and full migration capabilities, is routinely applied in areas with dense data coverage and for pressure prediction work. It is also fully PVT-controlled, with 3-phase/n-component relationships using flash calculations. Source rock tracking enables any number of hydrocarbon components (methane, ethane, C2–C5, etc.) from any number of different source rocks to be tracked throughout the entire generation and migration process and identified in each accumulation.
The PetroRisk and 2D TecLink modules are add-on options.
PetroMod 3D
PetroMod 3D software is the industry's leading 3D petroleum systems modeling tool. A range of modules offers a full 3D temperature/pressure simulator and the most advanced 3D petroleum migration modeling technology. PetroMod 3D modules also enable different migration modeling methods to be applied to the same 3D data model: flow path, Darcy, invasion percolation (IP), and the PetroMod advanced hybrid Darcy/flow path technology.
Fully PVT-controlled with 3-phase/n-component relationships using flash calculations, PetroMod 3D software provides specialized modeling tools for salt movements, igneous intrusions, and other geologic processes, as well as local grid refinement and seismic facies refinement. Source rock tracking enables any number of hydrocarbon components (methane, ethane, C2–C5, etc.) from any number of different source rocks to be tracked throughout the entire generation and migration process and identified in each accumulation.
