BorView Interactive Dip & Image Interpretation
BorView software accelerates interactive dip picking from image data, including pseudo-images of dipmeter data. With BorView you can interactively identify and interpret structural and stratigraphic features on your images. Interpreted dips picked in one window are integrated and interact with stereonets, histograms, SCAT and rosette plots to aid in the interpretation. You can group dips together, calculate averages and remove structural effects using any of these tools.
In thinly bedded reservoirs, image histogram thresholding can determine accurate sand percentages from the high-resolution data. You can identify and orient fractures to determine stress directions to aid in mini-frac planning. Since fracture porosity is the key to economic recovery in many reservoirs, use BorView to compute fracture coverage, as well as mean and hydraulic aperture from the calibrated resistivity images.
Whether you need to determine structural dip, analyze fault patterns or determine paleocurrent directions, use BorView to quantify your data.

With BorView you can rapidly and accurately pick geologic features. Shown here is an FMI image, where bedding plane dips, around 10 degrees southwesterly, have been interpreted. The gamma ray curve in the first track confirms this is a sand unit; the caliper indicates the hole conditions are generally good. The FMI results are displayed again in the fourth track and have been enhanced interactively for more detail. Also the interpretation can be displayed in three-dimensions, interactively rotated, tilted and linked to the main image display.
