RedaCoil Coiled Tubing-Deployed ESP System

Produce high-flow-rate wells

The RedaCoil ESP system and cables are capable of producing high-flow-rate wells (up to 4,770 m3 [30,000 bbl/d] in 7-in casing) by flowing around instead of through the coiled tubing. For environments that do not allow flow up the casing, an alternative configuration requires the deployment of a 7-in production pipe inside of the 9 5/8-in well casing. A 7-in production pipe and RedaCoil system allow well fluid isolation from both the well casing and the pump power cable.

Protect against formation damage

Killing wells during intervention is expensive and time-consuming. It often results in reduced well productivity because of the resulting formation damage. The RedaCoil system—with surface lubricator, wellhead barrier, and power cable inside the coiled tubing—ensures a secure seal within the blowout preventer. This permits secure and efficient deployment of the ESP system in a live well, saving time and reducing the potential for formation damage.
