Real-Time Downhole Measurement Wellsite Software Package
M-I SWACO developed PRESSPRO RT as a unique wellsite service that essentially is a real-time version of VIRTUAL HYDRAULICS. PRESSPRO RT software uses surface measurements at the wellsite. This is opposed to manually inputting data to calculate downhole pressure profiles and fluid behavior during drilling and tripping operations.
The PRESSPRO RT service provides unprecedented remote and wellsite engineering support. Proprietary software programs use surface measurements to calculate downhole pressure profiles and fluid properties. It does so in real time during both drilling and tripping operations. The unprecedented suite of programs provides up to the second ESD and ECD at any point in the wellbore. It also delivers surge and swab pressure measurements.
A real wellsite service, PRESSPRO RT is operated by a specially trained critical well analyst.
The PRESSPRO RT package it an integral component of ECD management. It does not replace Pressure While Drilling (PWD) tools, but rather complements PCD data. It compares the “what are measurements” of PWD with a “what should be” scenario for early detection of impending problems. What’s more, it serves as a viable substitute with PWD is either non-operational or unavailable.
