Triple inhibition for the ultimate in water-base performance, environmental acceptability

ULTRADRIL represents a major advancement in the industry’s quest to develop a water-based drilling fluid with performance approaching that of an oil-based mud. The ULTRADRIL high performance water-based system routinely delivers impressive drilling waste management benefits. Its highly inhibitive chemistry results in dilution rates that are even much lower than other water-base systems. At the same time, it also reduces waste volumes and allows for fluid recycling. Because it is a water-base system, ULTRADRIL requires less equipment, manpower and the secondary processing that are all common to invert system drilling.

ULTRADRIL can be discharged both on land and offshore, making it an economical alternative to premium synthetic systems for deep and ultra-deepwater projects. ULTRADRIL also provides superb shale dispersion and accretion inhibition. The drilling fluid comprises five synergistic products, three of which were created specifically for the new system.
