Bentonite viscosifier for DRIPLEX
GELPLEX bentonite is a specially selected, untreated sodium bentonite that functions as the primary viscosifier for the DRILPLEX water-based drilling fluid system. GELPLEX is designed to ensure the DRILPLEX mixed metal oxide (MMO) adsorbs onto the hydrated clay platelets to form a strong and stable complex. It has particular application in drilling high‐angle and horizontal wells, lost circulation zone, in production reservoirs as a reservoir drill‐in fluid, and for casing milling operations.
