Extreme-pressure lubricant for water-based muds

LUBE XLS extreme‐pressure lubricant is used to reduce torque and drag. It is a general‐purpose lubricant that reduces the possibility of wall sticking, and has application in highly deviated wellbores, where a tough lubricating film is needed between the wall cake and drill string.

LUBE XLS additive has a wide area of application, and can be used in all water‐base fluids at any density required.

Applications

LUBE XLS lubricant is a completely dispersible extreme‐pressure lubricant that has several applications and can be used in all water‐base fluids at all densities. Extreme pressure lubricants are designed to impart lubrication to the bearing surfaces subjected to extreme pressure conditions, such as the wall of the hole and the drill string or the bit journals. LUBE XLS lubricant will provide relief to torque and drag experienced in highly deviated, horizontal, and extended‐reach borehole configurations. LUBE XLS lubricant has temperature stability to 400°F (204°C). It will not affect rheological properties, and may lower fluid loss.
