High-quality fluid loss additive

UNIPAC SUPREME R modified polyanionic cellulose is a high‐quality, very dispersible polymer designed to control fluid loss and increase viscosity in water‐base muds. The mixing efficiency of the highly dispersible UNIPAC SUPREME R additive reduces loss of active product, promoting lower mud cost. The purity and assured high quality of the additive requires less product concentration than regular PAC additives to obtain similar results.

UNIPAC SUPREME R additive controls fluid loss in freshwater, seawater, and KCl muds. It forms a thin, resilient, low‐permeability filter cake that minimizes the potential for differential sticking and the invasion of filtrate and mud solids into permeable formations. The highly dispersible UNIPAC SUPREME R polymer eliminates the formation of “fish eye” polymer lumps, even under the poorest mixing conditions.

UNIPAC SUPREME R fluid‐loss control additive is non‐fermenting, eliminating the need for biocides or preservatives. UNIPAC SUPREME R medium‐ to high‐molecular‐weight polymer also develops viscosity to a degree that is dependent on the solids concentration, salinity and make‐up water chemistry. UNIPAC SUPREME R additive is an anionic polymer that attaches to and encapsulates exposed shales and drill cuttings, offering secondary shale stabilization properties.
