Primary emulsifier for VERSA muds
EMUL HT emulsifier is a highly concentrated primary emulsifier amide derivative stabilizer for VERSADRIL and VERSACLEAN mud systems. EMUL HT additive is effective over a wide range of oil/water ratios and densities. It is designed to furnish a high level of emulsion stability, and can be used up to temperatures of 390°F (200°C). EMUL HT emulsifier will provide secondary wetting.
Applications
As a primary emulsifier, EMUL HT additive will create a strong brine‐in‐oil emulsion. It should be used in the range of 4 to 8 lb/bbl (11.4 to 22.8 kg/m3) for initial formulations. It is especially applicable for high‐temperature situations. As a stabilizing agent, suggested treating levels are 0.5 to 4 lb/bbl (1.4 to 11.4 kg/m3) normally are sufficient.
Higher EMUL HT additive concentrations are recommended for increased temperature ranges.
