  Deep-reading services measure beyond the borehole and into the wider reservoir to help to monitor fluid and steam distribution and movement on a reservoir scale, enabling sweep efficiency optimization, and identification of bypassed pay zones.
• Fiberoptic Monitoring Systems 
  Monitoring the temperature profile along the entire wellbore can provide valuable information to assess the flow contribution of different parts of the heavy oil reservoir during thermal operations.

Surface Monitoring

An alternative, compact system specifically tailored for heavy oil fields and designed for three- or four-phase flow is the multiphase flow meter based on Vx technology. Accurate GOR rates and continuous monitoring, combined with a positive impact on steam-to-oil-ratios (SOR), are key benefits of this system.
