SURVIVOR AWR HPHT
Dual-Frequency Array Wave Resistivity Tool
SURVIVOR AWR high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) dual-frequency array wave resistivity tool uses two frequencies to provide up to 12 resistivity curves, each having a different depth of investigation. Three transmitters are located at spacings of 15, 25, and 45 in from a pair of receivers; the spacings are optimized to account for the effects of invasion. The tool delivers accurate quantitative data that can be processed without the assumptions about dielectric properties that are inherent with single-frequency measurements. A gamma ray measurement is also provided.
The SURVIVOR AWR resistivity tool is rated for pressures up to 25,000 psi and temperatures up to 350 degF [175 degC], and can operate in any type of drilling mud. lt uses a modular power source, common to all the latest generation PathFinder LWD tools, which has an operating life of up to 300 hours and can be replaced at the wellsite. The availability of a slimhole tool provides additional flexibility.
