Hydraulic bow spring centralizer

To allow selective centralization below wellbore restrictions, the hydraulic bow spring centralizer has pressure-actuated strings. The centralizer also facilitates passage through production tubing to centralize inside the casing below. The springs of the hydraulic bow spring centralizer expand and lock at a predetermined diameter with hydraulic pressure. They collapse with pressure interruption, allowing BHA retrieval from the wellbore.

Mechanical bow spring centralizer

The mechanical bow spring centralizer has retractable strings that allow centralization of the string below wellbore restrictions. This centralizer also facilitates passage through production tubing to centralize inside the casing below. Centralizer springs are mechanically actuated automatically, meaning no hydraulic circulation is diverted from equipment mounted below the centralizer.
