Trackmaster CH Cased Hole Whipstock System
The Trackmaster CH cased hole whipstock system delivers a quality, full-gauge window for exiting standard steel casing in low- to medium-strength formations. It provides low dogleg severity across the exit and has a hook retrieval slot for reliable recovery.
Trackmaster CH components
-
FasTrack one-trip mill—for conventional and extended ratholes, with lead, follow, and dress mill designs.
-
Carbide trimill—for 3- to 15-ft ratholes.
-
Expandable anchor—hydraulically actuated; retrievable; able to span multiple casing sizes and weights; and featuring an antirotational, high-axial-load slip design.
-
Mechanical anchor—weight-set-actuated, retrievable, and featuring an antirotational slip design.
-
Hydraulic anchor—retrievable and featuring an antirotational, high-axial-load slip design.
-
Permanent packer—hydraulically actuated; 5,000-psi element; and featuring an antirotational, high-axial-load slip design.
Trackmaster HF high compressive strength cased hole whipstock system
For exiting standard steel casing in formations with an unconfined compressive strength (UCS) greater than 20,000 psi and with a 3- to 5-ft rathole requirement, the Trackmaster HF hard-formation sidetracking system enables a quick departure. With lead and follow mill designs, the high-density PDC cutting structure resists wear and impact.
Trackmaster GT single-trip mill and drill cased hole whipstock system
The Trackmaster GT sidetracking system orients and anchors the whipstock; mills a window; and drills a directional, extended rathole in one trip. After the system is lowered into the wellbore and oriented, the multicycle bypass valve is closed in order to allow sufficient flow through the mud motor to set the hydraulic anchor. The mud motor is restrained from rotation during this process by a motor lockup system. The milling assembly is then disconnected from the whipstock by upward pull. Increased fluid flow releases the motor lockup, allowing the motor to function freely.
Trackmaster FB multizone completion cased hole whipstock system
When the whipstock is to be left in the hole (for instance, to facilitate running the liner into the sidetracked wellbore), and the well is flowing from the original borehole as well as the lateral, Trackmaster FB flow-by sidetracking system facilitates fluid flow past the whipstock, using machined slots in the body.
