ONYX polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) cutters have improved thermal properties with greater wear resistance and fatigue life compared with both standard and premium PDC cutters. ONYX cutters stay sharper longer, meaning more footage at maximum ROP and reduced cost. With ONYX cutters, you experience dynamic stability, faster penetration, and extended bit life.

These specialized cutters are the result of extensive field testing, dull bit analysis, and rigorous laboratory testing. This work gives ONYX cutters the best possible raw materials selection and processing; high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) optimization; and finishing processes. They are available on a select range of bits certified by the IDEAS platform.
