FH Tungsten Carbide Insert Drill Bits

Maximum Mechanical Energy

FH tungsten carbide insert (TCI) drill bits combine high ROP with durability and reliability, providing superior performance for drilling operations. With patented insert and cutter geometries, along with proprietary carbide materials, these roller cone bits offer many cutting structures that allow maximum mechanical energy to be applied to the formation.

Drillbit reliability

To ensure the reliability of FH TCI bits, silver-plated bearings are used to reduce friction, extend bearing life, and resist wear and extreme load forces for longer periods of time compared with conventional bearings. FH bits also include a bullet-shaped seal designed with extensive finite element analysis (FEA) modeling. The seal has dual-material elastomers that protect the bearing and make FH bits highly reliable.

Gauge retention and bottomhole cleaning

Between the primary gauge inserts, binary carbide gauge places have resistant, semiround top carbide inserts to enhance gauge retention. This feature makes gauges more durable while allowing longer in-gauge bit runs. And to maximize bottomhole cleaning, the V-Flo vectored flow configuration directs nozzles to the leading side of the following bit cone, resulting in upward spiral flow. This flow not only cleans, it also prevents bit balling and allows for maximum ROP.
