Fiber-Based Proppant Flowback Control

PropGUARD technology is an enhanced fiber-based proppant flowback control additive. In addition to mechanical proppant pack reinforcement, the PropGUARD system features a proprietary temperature-activated adhesive that promotes a strong bond between entangled fibers. The fiber bonds at the designated temperature range without curing as a common resin-coated proppant mechanism does.

The resulting noncured flexible net allows the system to significantly improve proppant pack stability at high drawdown. High drawdown improves fracture cleanup, leading to increased effective fracture half-length and improved production rates.

The PropGUARD technology avoids damage to surface equipment and the loss of near-wellbore conductivity caused by proppant flowback.
