DeepSTIM Stimulation Vessel
Advanced, Versatile Stimulation Vessels
The DeepSTIM fleet of advanced, versatile stimulation vessels incorporates a proven record of efficiency, regardless of operational size or complexity. Each vessel maintains a dynamic positioning (DP) system, an innovative blending and pumping system, continuous gel mixing, a central control room, and plenty of proppant storage:
Dynamic positioning
Key DP components are the reference systems, the computer, and the propulsion system. For positioning information, two reference systems can be chosen from: (1) fanbeam, ideal for floaters and tension leg platforms, and (2) differential global positioning system.
Proppant blending system
The POD programmable optimum density blender has two electrically powered, side-by-side, 35-bbl/min vortex mixers that operate independently or in parallel. The blender is 100% redundant. If one mixer fails, the other can be operated within seconds.
Continuous gel mix
The PCM precision continuous mixer system maximizes the cost effectiveness of stimulation treatments. There is continuous mixing of gel treatments with freshwater or seawater with virtually no material waste and minimal environmental impact.
Central control room
Data is communicated via the FracCAT data acquisition system.
Proppant storage
As much as 16,700 ft3 of proppant can be stored in permanent tanks. The tanks deliver proppant into the silo at rates up to 12,000 lbm/min, equivalent to more than 40 bbl/min at 10 ppa. Any change in treatment rate is compensated for automatically. This ensures the correct concentration is achieved under all operating conditions.
