eFire Electronic Firing Head System
Enhance operational safety
eFire electronic firing head systems for tubing-conveyed perforating (TCP), coiled tubing (CT), slickline, and wireline give you a safer, more efficient and economical method for a wide range of downhole explosive operations. The firing process is automatic inside the preset operating window.
eFire is more advanced than other systems, giving you total control of the operation. The unique technology creates pressure pulses that are converted into a special signature to communicate with the firing head. Fully controlled from the surface, the system head does not require prerecorded downhole parameters. With total control, you can arm, fire, or abort the operation at any time. This more flexible technology lets you perforate under less rigid conditions.
Simplify operations and reduce costs
eFire-TCP firing heads perforated seven wells effectively in a North Sea permanent completion campaign. The operator wanted to successfully install and test the completion with the firing system already in place. Because the completion involved perforating with large dry pipe volumes, wellsite efficiency and logistics also were important considerations. All of the operators concerns were addressed successfully.Overall, the firing head eliminated the shutting in of an adjacent well to cycle the alternative firing head, saving more than five hours of operational time and avoiding almost 24 hours of deferred gas production. The firing head allowed precise initiation at the desired underbalance while saving the client valuable time, lost production, and money.
