Zonal isolation packers prevent fluid loss in multizone wells and thereby enhance safety, protect against formation damage, reduce the need for costly workovers, and protect reservoir integrity and productivity.
Hydraulically set, they allow onsite feed-through and connection of electric and hydraulic conduits. Testing of control-line fittings on the packer is accomplished after feed-through. This feature greatly simplifies rig operations and reduces control line terminations.
