Madden Systems, part of E&P Wireline Services, offers production logging and analysis by experienced operators and analysts.
Specializing in slimhole tools with high temperature ratings, Madden Systems has had many "firsts" in the industry:
- developed a quartz memory pressure tool in the Permian Basin
- developed and ran API logs with memory tools
- designed and manufactured a memory tool rated 800 degF.
With logging tools rated in excess of 600 degF, Madden Systems has logged wells all over the world, in environments where others cannot. All the production logging tools can be run in memory or electric line configurations.
The Slicklogger standard production logging tool is rated 285 degF and consists of a continuous flowmeter (spinner), temperature, capacitance, quartz pressure, collar locator, and gamma ray sensors, with state-of-the-art accuracies and resolutions. The short, rigid, single housing and an OD of 1.375 in, make the tool ideal for coiled tubing (CT) applications in highly deviated boreholes, as well as for tight radius crooks in vertical wells.
The high-temperature production logging tool is rated 450 degF and can be run in corrosive environments, and—for a limited time—at higher temperatures. It incorporates the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of the standard tool with the advanced high-temperature technology of the geothermal tool. It contains the same sensors as the standard tool and has an OD of 1.625 in.
The geothermal production logging tool consists of a continuous flowmeter (spinner), temperature, pressure, collar locator, and optional gamma ray sensors. Delta pressure calculations provide fluid identification. It is rated 650 degF but has been run at higher temperatures. The tool has an OD of 1.77 in, and was developed to allow surveillance of steam wells used in electricity generation.
When logging in extreme environments, definition of test objectives, equipment preparation, and optimization of costs all require the careful attention that is the hallmark of Madden Systems.
