Sample cylinder for routine transportation and storage
The Oilphase-DBR Conventional Sample Bottle (CSB) is a high-pressure sample cylinder used during mercury-free transfer of samples from the Single-Phase Reservoir Sampler (SRS), the wellhead, and the well test separator during production testing operations. Oil or condensate samples transported and stored in the CSB are depressurized to below bubblepoint to create a gas cap for safe shipping and are subsequently recombined in the laboratory for routine PVT analysis.
The CSB design offers controlled, uncontaminated PVT sampling and transfer without sample flashing. Valves can be operated without removing protective caps, improving safety. The valves, which are incorporated in the end caps, are equipped with a nonrotating valve tip for repeatable low-torque, highpressure sealing. Inset valves, matching pistons, and agitation rings keep dead volume at less than 0.5% of the sample volume.
